Saint Laurent — Charlotte Perriand: An Iconic Reissue

Saint Laurent unveils an exceptional new collaboration that blends fashion and design with the reissue of four iconic pieces created by the renowned designer Charlotte Perriand. Originally designed between 1943 and 1967, these pieces had previously existed only as prototypes or sketches. Among these rare creations are furniture pieces that Perriand designed for her own homes around the world. Meticulously recreated by the house of Saint Laurent, the four selected pieces are available in a limited edition by special order

This reissue reflects Saint Laurent’s ongoing commitment to preserving cultural and artistic heritage. Among the revived designs are the Indochine guest chair, created in 1943 for Perriand’s home in Vietnam, and the Rio de Janeiro bookcase, designed in 1962 for her husband Jacques Martin, crafted from solid rosewood with rattan sliding doors. Only a few of these pieces had been shown publicly in the past 25 years.

Also included is the Mille-Feuilles table (1963), a technically complex piece—each one reissued will be unique due to its handcrafted patterns. The final piece is a striking curved sofa from 1967, originally created for the Japanese ambassador’s residence in Paris, and now reproduced in a limited edition with support from the Japanese Embassy.
